* A whitelist is an index of approved entities. In [[blockchain]] this usually means there are permissions involved, which could mean [[Centralized|centralization]]. Examples are whitelisting certain [[Address|addresses]] or [[token]] pairs. However, since the advent of [[Decentralised Autonomous Organisation (DAO)|DAO]] structures, DAOs can also vote to whitelist, which could be considered a [[decentralized]] form of whitelisting.
