Basics

  • Open source mining pool owned by Bitmain. Update: has been sold to 500.com (16-2-2021).
  • Block explorer
  • Wallet service
  • API-provider
  • 3-12-2016 currently not signaling support for Segregated Witness, decision will most likely also depend on Bitmain’s preference. According to Bitcoin Core website BTC’s status on SegWit is a “work in progress” so they seem Bullish
  • Also runs an Ethereum mining pool now.
  • The mining pool has been hit by hackers (27-12-2022), the company who owns the pool revealed in an announcement. As a result, $2.3 million worth of digital assets owned by the company and another $700,000 in asset value belonging to its clients were stolen.
