Basics

  • One of the many forks off of Bitcoin in late 2017
  • Quantum Bitcoin is a fork of Bitcoin with the self-stated goal of creating “quantum coins”.
  • Quantum Bitcoin capped its supply at 21.21 million QBTC, and 210,000 QBTC were pre-mined and retained by the founding team. At the fork, Quantum Bitcoin credits 1 QBTC for every 1 BTC, but the coins appear to only be claimable via a closed-source application.
