  • From Onchain Times (15-4-2024):

"Movement is building an Ethereum L2 utilizing the MoveVM. This L2 will incorporate Celestia as its Data Availability layer and will be EVM compatible. Thala and Echelon, projects that are both live on Aptos, have already announced their upcoming deployment on Movement."

"Movement labs ~ Creating a network of modular blockchains built with the Move programming language. Movement runs a builders program to onboard developers and have created M2; a MoveEVM zk layer 2 on Ethereum with parallelized execution and shared sequencing. Movement raised a $3.4m pre-seed round to grow adoption around Move. Read more"

How it works

From their blog (29-7-2024):

"The Movement Network is a set of modular and configurable Move Rollups that provide a platform for deploying interoperable, application-specific chains. Each Movement Rollup can use a custom Data Availability layer (default is Celestia), custom sequencing (default is Movement's decentralized shared sequencer, M1), a custom finality mechanism (default is our fast staked attestations), and they all share the MoveVM for powerful execution.
