- Bitcoin Atom is a SegWit enabled Bitcoin fork for atomic swaps, hybrid consensus and Lightning Network experimentation.
- Bitcoin Atom aims to enable decentralized asset exchange by using hash time-locked contracts (HTLCs) and its own HTCL API. Bitcoin Atom’s core development team is working on a special embedded toolkit for on-chain and off-chain atomic swaps. Bitcoin Atom announced plans to introduce off-chain Lightning Network swaps in 2018.
